Burner Phone 02:47
Reaching into my back pocket Take a breath, worry that I’ve dropped it Filled with everything I’ve ever said to you Behind smoke screens You’ve never seen What I would do Oh if word got out and If those words ever left my mouth Then you’d know That’s why I write them down – tucked away Send them off to a strange address Bid them goodbye and give my best Tomorrow I’ll compose another For you Guess that I’m a fast touch typer Letter writer, oversight is my favourite thing to think Should I be careful, carelessly? Now breathlessly, you’re testing me and I’ll sink Head on shoulders, I need to know Would you call me if you found my phone? There’s really no secret number to solve this mystery Forget the drop I’m at the spot So fall for me

about

burner phones in movies always seem so exciting; a rendezvous, a car chase and then it's inevitably thrown off a bridge - but i think they're better suited for the quiet moments when you can think of what to say but you know you never would so you're just talking to yourself..

about

Jeanne Wilder Melbourne, Australia

Taking inspiration from one of her namesake's best loved films, Jeanne Wilder's music is sweet, a little off beat and not always what it seems - dream sequence included.
